Romania: Large beech sawmill plus further processing closes down

One of the largest hardwood sawmills in Romania has closed down production. The current owner of Diana Forest in Onesti and Bacãu (region of Moldavia, N-E of Romania), the Spanish real estate company Martinsa Fadesa, has already given the layoff notice to 1170 coworkers due on December 27.
